A Premium Ongoing Travel Series
Where the Music Lover Becomes the Insider
Hosted by a Legend
Because Travel Should Move You
Not Just Move You Around
Legendary Soundwaves is a bespoke travel series for serious music lovers - an induction into the insider world of music, pairing luxury river cruises with world-class music history and firsthand stories told by a music legend.
There’s nothing else to compare it to on the planet.
Hosted by a Legend. Each voyage in the series is personally hosted by Dr. Rob Bowman, a world-renowned ethnomusicologist and sought-after speaker who's personally interviewed some of the biggest names in music history. He hasn't just written about music history, he's helped shape how the world understands it.
Gain insider knowledge that transforms how you listen to and appreciate music forever.
Now, for the first time, Rob is bringing that world to travelers.
He’s good enough for The Rolling Stones – they handpicked him. Now it’s your turn, on a voyage with small, immersive groups, curated music experiences, extraordinary destinations, built entirely around the music history and stories only he can tell.
The series debuts with Jazz in France and keeps going wherever the music takes us next.
About Dr. Rob Bowman
Dr. Bowman first heard The Beatles at age seven, and nothing was ever the same. By sixteen, he was interviewing Pink Floyd, mid-Dark Side of the Moon tour. And that was just the start of his legendary career.
A Grammy winner. Invited on tour by The Rolling Stones. A voting member of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and the writer of its induction essays for 27 years. His definitive book on Stax Records became an HBO documentary series that won a Peabody Award. His highlight reel goes on forever. He’s even served as a music expert witness for a murder trial!
For over fifty years, he has sat across from legendary musicians: Bob Marley, Mick Jagger, Lou Reed, Robbie Robertson, BB King, Jerry Garcia, Al Green, and more. Now, for the first time, you're on the inside of it, five decades of music history, firsthand.

Asked Questions

A hosted voyage isn't just a cruise with a theme attached. It's a privately organized experience, layered on top of an already exceptional itinerary. A world-class host, curated excursions, and programming built exclusively for this group, all designed by us, not the cruise line itself. Book the same sailing on your own, and you'll miss all of it, the host, the curated moments, the community, and everything designed specifically for this voyage. Select a voyage to explore its full itinerary, inclusions, pricing, and hosted programming.
-
You can call, email, or submit a booking request directly on the website, and you will be personally guided through all travel details - availability, deposits, and everything in between.
Because each voyage is intentionally small and immersive, spots are limited and offered first come, first served. If you already know you're ready to go, click “Reserve My Spot” in the main menu to lock in your place right away. Once a voyage sells out, that option closes too, so I'd encourage you not to wait if you're set on going. -

Legendary Soundwaves
curated by Jenny St. Germain
Most people plan a trip. I produce one.
I've spent more than two decades behind the scenes of high-stakes campaigns, making sure the biggest moments come off flawlessly, with no second chances, for the people who mattered most. Now I bring that same precision and obsession to something far more personal: your voyage.
I didn't come to travel the traditional way. I hold a post-grad in public and media relations, and that background, paired with a career built on managing complexity under pressure, is now channeled into every voyage I build.
My work has included campaigns and events for globally recognized names and institutions: Barenaked Ladies, Britney Spears, the Beaches International Jazz Festival, the David Suzuki Foundation, Fringe festivals, and contracts spanning the U.S. Department of Defense and Brown University.
That work demands a specific set of instincts: holding the micro and macro view, understanding my audience, and creating moments that long outlive the campaign. Curated, hosted travel demands exactly the same. A bespoke voyage isn't just booked. It's produced, with intention, and an eye for detail that most people never see, but always feel.
You'll work directly with me and my experienced travel team, backed by trusted booking systems, preferred partnerships, and the industry muscle of Expedia Cruises.
